Our Purpose is to rescue and re-home existing Lethal White Australian Shepherds. Our Mission is to ensure, through support and education, a positive environment and successful life-long union for those adopted. Our Vision is to prevent, and ultimately eliminate, Merle-to-Merle breeding of Australian Shepherds through continuous efforts to EDUCATE!

Five (yes 5) precious 7-week-old Lethal White babies (born in a litter of 10) will be arriving in Phoenix sometime after July 18, 2003. We began rescue efforts when contacted by a "neighbor" who discovered that the owner was going to have them drowned by a neighborhood man who offers this service! (Yes, someone actually does this, can you believe that?) Thanks to generous, kind and compassionate people who responded to our plea for help to get them to safety and aid in transporting them to us, they began their journey. Their rescue would not be possible without each and everyone who contributed. All pups will receive complete booster shots and will be spayed/neutered before adoption!

They're here!!! 07/18/03 - The pups arrived safely to Lorraine's house in Mesa, AZ thanks to Jan and Lisa who braved the trip from California to this unbearable Phoenix heat. We took a few pics as they all settled in...but it wasn't easy! Mr. Red will be going to a foster home tomorrow :-) and one more lucky pup (Mr. Green) will also be going to foster care (excellent choice). This little girl is Phoenix, a special little girl (Lethal White) of Jan's. She came along for the ride to help keep a keen eye on all the pups! Thank you, Phoenix! Jan, Lisa and Phoenix will be spending the night at Lorraine's and heading home in the morning. Aussielads thanks you for everything you've done to bring these pups safely to Phoenix and to give them a chance for a new, wonderful life!!!

Thought everyone would like an update of the 5 Lethal White pups from Northern California. They are all safe and should be arriving here in AZ sometime around the 19th of July.

Thanks to all who have responded (click here) to our plea for help (the response was overwhelming). Without your generosity and compassion, these pups would not be alive today. Below is an update we received from Jennifer (temporary foster). Enjoy!

The puppies are all very friendly, and seek out being held and our attention. They've been introduced to numerous people and kids, and always want to play with the new people. They like interacting with my dogs. They're really nice puppies - and should do very well with the right owners.

Health - eating and drinking normally. They're going through about 10 cups of food a day (2 per puppy - that's a lot, I think - but I can easily feel all ribs, so I keep on feeding them). Since the puppies had digestion problems, I'm feeding them Nutro Max puppy - since it is the easiest food to digest (I typically feed Eukanuba - but that can be a little too rich). Since they've been on this food no diarrhea. All the pups were wormed - so haven't had a problem with that. No fleas, etc. I gave them a bath when I brought them home, and all except Ms. Purple seemed to like it. I'll give them another bath before we leave on Thursday morning to take them to Jan's parents. (Jan - I'll hope to have some food left over to bring down - but that 20 lb bag is more than 1/2 way gone, so I don't know how much will be there! They're little piggies!)

All pups will receive complete booster shots and will be spayed/neutered before adoption!
