A few more pictures of her, she
is doing great. She loves to play and play and plays!!!! Not sure if I told
you, but on Thanksgiving her and I took a shower together, and I tell ya,
she never moved. She loved the rubbing with the towel and getting dried.
She is definitely becoming a mommy's girl. She has to be part of the
picture, and I mean she will push her way through the "crowd" to get to me.
She still gives me a hard time at night, she definitely does not like the
crate. This weekend she woke up at 2:30, so I let her out to pee, and then
left her out of the crate and in the room, and she liked that better. Not
sure I slept soundly, however.......
She copies the other two, and just loves to play with Sara Jean.
I took her on her first real walk the other day. I have to say, someone has
to have worked with her. She was amazing on leash. She stayed to my left and
almost in the heel position, continually looking at me. The only time she
lost her focus was when we were crossing a street. It was like her line of
sidewalk vs gravel was missing and she got confused. Of my three dogs she is
by far the best on leash for first timers.
Hope all is well with all of you.
Keep in touch, and thanks for doing your part in making it happen that she
becomes a part of my life. She is such a lover.

Madison's
Update!

Good Morning moms Paula and Kristie....life is very good at my forever home.
I've attached some pictures so you could see that I am doing just fine. I have
bonded with my Alpha (Rhiannon) and feel confident she will protect me in time
of need. HOWEVER, I am playing with Sara Jean and giving her no down time. I
nip at her and she yelps, but I don't hear her so I continue. She has yet to
make me understand that sometimes I am nipping too hard. But we run and play
ALLOT !!! There is this great yard, and a doggie door. Do you know what this
means? I can go in and out whenever I want. I mastered this in under 5
minutes, as quick as the stairs. And I have gained 2 pounds !!! I went to this
new vet and she poked and probed (I was not pleased) and I got my toe nails
clipped and weighed in at 22.9 pounds. Life is BLISS, which I hope you can
tell from the pictures I let my new Mom take of me. Oh she is cool too, she
lets me sleep in her lap, and I get peanut butter every day with my Lutein
capsule, and banana. These are GREAT !!!
Gotta run, literally, Sara Jean is calling. I will keep you updated. Please
come and see me whenever you want, I miss you but thank you for finding me my
"forever" home.
Love always,
Madison

Madison went to her new home today
and her biggest challenge was learning to walk up and down STAIRS...here's a few
pics of that adventure. Please check back for more pictures from "Mom" of
how things are going.

Please check back for updates on Madison soon!
Wyn, now known as
Madison, has been adopted and will be going to her new home on 11/14/03. Wyn
will be spayed on Monday, 11/10/03 and will spend time healing from surgery in
her foster home. We prefer a time when family members will be home (like a
weekend) to make Wyn's transition into her new home easier. Wyn's new
family consists of Sue and Al (parents) and her canine sisters, Rhiannon
(Aussie) and Sara Jean (Aussie). Please check back for updates and
pictures of Wyn going to her new home.

Hi, my name is Branwyn, but everyone calls me Wyn. I was born
5/23/03 from a (Blue) Merle-to-Merle breeding. My parents guardian did not realize
the dangers of this breeding until I was born. I have been loved and taken care of while
waiting to go home to Aussielads. I am deaf and and almost totally blind
in my right eye, but I get around pretty good.
I am very petite and only weigh l7 lbs. I am current on all vaccinations,
including rabies. I will be spayed on 11/7/03 and receive my last booster
at that time.
Some pics of Wyn enjoying life at her foster home

I
got to meet Dr. Stickland from
Best Friends Animal Hospital this morning when
Kristie and Paula brought me in for my exam. Her are a few pictures.

I
am currently in foster care with Kristie & Paula, who graciously drove to
California to get me. I am living with Morgan, a beautiful Black Tri
Aussie and K.C., a Cattle Dog mix, as well as 3 lovely lady cats; Bear, Paddy
and Tigo. Below is my story, along with some "road trip" pics of how I
came to Phoenix, AZ.
Wyn's Story
Hi, my name is Wyn, that’s short
for Branwyn, which means fair, white, or blessed .
My foster parents are really into making names extra
special, as if you didn’t
already guess that one. This is my story of how I got to
my new foster home. I am only four and
a half months old and already have a road trip
adventure to tell you about. My first family helped me find
Aussielads because I am deaf and almost
completely blind in my right eye and need special
care and training. My Aunt Tracy and Uncle Adam drove me from
Gustine, California to Wheeler Ridge to meet
up with my new foster family. I really miss my Aunt
Tracy and it was so hard to say goodbye to her but
she will check on me to make sure I’m ok. Aunt Tracy must have
given me a million kisses when she said goodbye to me on Monday night.
After she left I began my long trip back to Phoenix with my foster
moms.
That first night I got to spend in
a hotel and have a visit to Petsmart to pick up my
food and a brand new toy. I slept really well but I think
it was because I was so tired from the stress. The next day I had to
spend a million hours in the car to get to my new foster home....at
least it seemed like it, but I slept through
most of it. I got a little
car sick a couple of times but my foster moms
understood and helped me settle down and get back to
sleep.
When we got to my new foster home I
got really excited to find I have another Aussie
foster sister (Morgan) and an Aussie Cattle
Dog foster sister (K.C.) plus 3 foster sister
kitties. I have so much to keep me
busy. I found all the chew bones and
Morgan shared her toys with me and steered me in the
right direction all evening. My first night I
was kind of scared but I
slept really well and bounced out of bed anxious to see
what new things I could do. That’s when I
really found the kitties and one of them teased me
until I barked. Wow, that was the first time I
really let everyone hear my voice. Feels
pretty good!
It’s Wednesday morning and I’m now
home from my first visit to the vet. It went
pretty good... no shots!! On
the way over I lost two of my baby teeth and since
I’ve been home I have lost another one!
I’ll have all big
girl teeth yet. I’ll keep everyone posted but
for now I’m tuckered out from a busy morning of
visiting the vet and playing with my foster sisters.
Here are some pictures taken on the first night on the road and then meeting my
new foster family.
