Unitarian Church
The Pets911 Special Adoption Event held on Saturday, February 8, 2003 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Unitarian Church located at 4027 East Lincoln Drive, Paradise Valley, AZ was a huge success!
Aussielads Aussie Rescue set up a table for the Lethal White Awareness Campaign to distribute materials and help educate the public about the dangers of Merle-to-Merle breeding of Australian Shepherds. Also on hand were several of the wonderful lethals who are now in loving homes, but always join us in demonstrating the visual impairments caused by the breeding. At the same time, it gives everyone an opportunity to see how smart and loving these dogs can be, and to let people know the ones that already exist deserve a second chance in a forever home.
The MASH Unit (Maricopa County Sheriff's Office Animal Safe Hospice) attended the event showcasing some of the wonderful cats and dogs available for adoption (click on the link to learn more about MASH). They also provided materials about MASH and visual displays of what MASH is all about.
Here are a few pics from the event.
