Franciscan Renewal 2003
Sunday, October 26th
As promised, here are some great photos taken at the Pets911 "Blessing of the Animals" Adoption event held on Saturday, October 25, 2003. Some of our foster dogs showed up, as well as our adopted ones. Enjoy!
A really special thanks to Kristie and Paula for all of their help today. Since this was a 2 day event, we left our tent up, but due to the winds last night, it was completely destroyed. Kristie and Paula arrived before we did and when we got there, Paula was cleaning up the remnants of what once was our shade area. Kristie was already on the move, driving home to get a replacement. Before we knew it, we had a wonderful shaded area, not only for us and our visitors, but all of our doggies were protected from those harsh sun rays that can be harmful to their eyes. Without all of their help and equipment, we would not have been able to have the chance to educate all the wonderful people who visited us, about the dangers of Merle-to-Merle breeding. THANK YOU KRISTIE AND PAULA!!!
Thanks to our foster homes for bringing Bounce, Wyn, Marco and Scrappy. And a special thanks to our adopters for bringing some of our "Lucky Lethals" by for a visit and the chance to see these sweeties again. Today, we were visited by Jazz & Taz (California Boys who are both deaf and were adopted last year), Albi and Scrappy. We also had a special visit from Paco (one of our beautiful Red Merle Aussies who won the heart of a long-time foster home, when no other could...they fostered 8 of our Aussies before falling totally in love with Paco. Click on his link and see why). And thanks to Eva for bringing Jinx, to show what a Blue Merle should look like. And, of course, a special recognition to Toes for all of her efforts! We would also like to thank everyone who stopped by to visit and those who donated to help with our efforts to rescue and re-home these precious babies!
