Aiko with his new family and what they had to say.

Hi Cyndi,
I want to start by thanking you for all that you have done for me.  I really
appreciate the time and effort you put into helping us (Sammy and me).  You
took the time to meet with me and Sammy last week and even though I'd never
met you before, I valued your opinion on this situation.  You also guided me
in the right direction by sending me to Sam, with Pet Behavior Solutions.  It
has been a very interesting experience.  She was also very helpful with my
situation and Saturday night, came over and evaluated him.  What a relief! I
know now that Sammy is not aggressive but fearful.  She tried everything to
aggravate him into biting her, and he wouldn't.  She taught me alot about his
behavior and how to sense when it is occurring.  Sammy is a good dog, but a
frightened one and when he gets in a situation that frightens him, he snaps
out of fear.  We are definitely going to work with him in putting him more at
ease with this, but we are definitely keeping him in our home.  I can't tell
you how happy that makes me.  He is such a sweet dog and we have all grown to
love him so.  It was just breaking my heart last week at the thought of
getting rid of him.  Thanks again for you support and advice.  If I can ever
help you, please let me know.

Guiness Letter

A letter from Susan Peterson (ARPH)

Inca was adopted today!!!!  WOOOHOOOO!!!!!  You can remove her from your site and I thank you so much, Cyndi, for having faith in her when I didn't.  These people love her just the way she is.  They knew every bad thing about her, but drove 4 hours from Phoenix to come see her today.  Within 30 minutes, she was taking snacks from their hands (the owners are a 60 yo mother and her daughter...the grandson Ethan who is 10 also came and he was a great kid) and playing with the Sheltie and Pom.

If you'd like to say anything on the site about her adoption you could say:

Inca has been adopted by a wonderful woman in the Phoenix area and will now be sharing a big backyard with her Sheltie sister Lady.  Inca finally has her forever home where she will be loved and appreciated for the special Sweetheart she really is.  Inca wishes that all dogs could experience this love and acceptance by finding a forever home.  Adopt a rescue or shelter pet today!

Thanks SOOOOO much.  Cyndi...you saved Inca's life...you really did.

Susan

Fellow Aussie friends,
First of all I have to say...Thank you Thank you Thank you!! What a wonderful, beautiful, caring, devoted, and loving website! I first came to it because we are in the process of inquiring about a 'lethal white' up for adoption. He is deaf but can see. As I was going through  your site, I noticed a little rainbow bridge place with pictures of four dogs. I had never heard of the rainbow bridge and I thought the pictures were of dogs available for adoption. I clicked on one and began to read and soon found out what the rainbow bridge is. I kept reading the different stories and came upon Chancie....we lost our blue merle, Dalton in the same manner last year. He was going on 6 years old and threw up one night. The next morning we took him to the vet where he died an hour later. Reading Chancie's and the other stories brought back those wonderful and heartbreaking memories. Dalton was so goofy...one ear tried to stand up half of the time and his nose had alot of black around it, making it look like a huge clown nose. He wasn't the most coordinated guy so Annie always got the ball first. She also got to eat first and she even stole his toys and bones and laid there daring him to touch them. Eventually, she'd be generous and let him have fun. He was a champ and let her have her way. He licked her ears every night and was lost without her. Now we're lost without him. We still have our red-tri, Annie. We have been looking at the rescue pages for dogs and there are a couple we are gong to meet soon. We decided to rescue one instead of buying a pup. there are so many wonderful dogs out there. Too bad the people do not understand what they are missing out on.
I just had to write you and tell you that your website is the only one I have seen that shows so much true love and passion for the breed....I had to say thank you for making my day. I will visit the site often.
Sincerely,
Gina Haberly

Comments: Thank you so much for your lovely website! Not only is it so informative but you genuinely show a love for the breed. Instead of talking about why an Aussie is 'not for you'. You focus on the positive aspects of the breed and show with beautiful pictures just how fun, loyal, intelligent, and beautiful they are.....to me, that shows a true love for them. Yours is the first and only one I've seen so far that does that. The others are too interested in calling themselves "experts" but you don't have to say a word...the pictures say it all! You site is so selfless, focusing it all on the dogs. We were looking to adopt another Aussie. Your information about lethal whites was so positive and concise that we are in the process of adopting one. Of course we'll send pics of him since after all, your page has inspired us to adopt a special needs Aussie....Thanks again!
