TUCSON

Tucson has found a wonderful new family to call her own! While Riku's family is still grieving their loss, his passing has also left a void in their life. They are truly a wonderful family who has so much love to give, and they just knew they had to share their lives with another "special needs" Aussie. Before sending Tucson to her new home, we ran a complete blood panel (Health Check #1). After Riku's loss, we wanted to make sure that she was in perfect health. And we are happy to report that all tests were normal. Tucson is a special little girl and now she is a very lucky one! Tucson is scheduled to be spayed on 9/21/03. Stay tuned for pics and updates. We miss you already, Tucson! Tucson is scheduled for spay surgery on 9/21/03.
Tucson's Story
8/30/03 Tucson is totally housebroken
through the doggie door. While she is crate trained (when we go out, she
is always crated), she spends her nights sleeping freely in the house (usually
by the fan or water bowl...her favorite places). Tucson does not chew
things, she only plays with her toys. She is about the most "perfect
puppy" we have ever seen :-)
Meet Tucson. She is approximately 3 months old and a total (independent and smart) sweetheart! She is a Blue Merle (Lethal White) who is totally deaf and has slight vision impairments (but she doesn't know it). Tucson was found as a stray by the Humane Society of Southern Arizona. A wonderful employee (Jewel Waldrip) contacted us for help (we completed all their required rescue forms) and now she is with us, safe and sound. Of course, getting her here wasn't easy due to the "gas crisis" we experienced here in Phoenix. We sent out a plea for help and received many offers. Julie Pasquinelli of Pets911 donated her time and gas and went to pick up little Miss Tucson and brought her to us. Thank you Julie!!!
Tucson has received her first booster and the second will be given on 9/3/03. She has been de-wormed and had her rabies shot (thanks to HSSA). She will be spayed and current on shots before adoption. Tucson is very adventurous, loves meeting new people and romping through the yard with the other dogs. We will work on crate training (she spent the her first night in bed with us...she feel asleep on my lap and I couldn't resist bringing her to bed). She slept the entire night without incident. She already knows how to use the doggie door and has been doing excellent with the potty training. She is truly a gem and would make a wonderful addition to the right family.
Enjoy some picture of Tucson hanging out with Spirit and the Aussielads
Tucson playing with Spirit (who is so gentle with her)
And the fun goes on with some of the "lads" joining in
Stay tuned!
